Van Mahotsav organised by Catholic Sabha 

Belvai June 23, 2024: Our parish community gathered to celebrate Van Mahotsav, the annual tree-planting festival. This event was organized by Catholic Sabha Belvai Unit, and it aimed at promoting environmental awareness and afforestation and saw enthusiastic participation from parishioners.

The celebration began with a prayer led by the parish priest, who emphasized the importance of preserving nature as a gift from God. 

A variety of saplings, including fruit-bearing, and native tree saplings were planted around the church backyard. Rev. Fr Joseph Alphonse Cardoza and Rev. Fr Ivan Dsilva planted one sapling each.

One sapling each for a family was also distributed to emphasize the collective responsibility of the community toward nurturing nature and contributing to a greener future.

Parish Council members, Catholic Sabha Belvai unit members, YCS Belvai youths, and others were participated and planted saplings.
